Michel Colombier is one of the references as composer of theme musics. He also worked during his carrer with Serge Gainsbourg, Barbara, Claude Nougaro…
Through this album, Michel Colomber managed to combine a shape of classic writing with modern, jazz or pop rhythmics.
He succeeds by creating an unexpected mixture of iconoclastic overlapping, a meeting between worlds which, a priori, should not crumple up.
To be made, he will be surrounded with the « heavyweights » of the time : Steve Gadd (drums), Peter Erskine (drums), Jaco Pastorius (bass guitar), Larry Carlton (guitare) and Herbie Hancock.
This idealistic composer tried to abolish the borders, that is why he never has been associated with an exclusive musical genre. This album, after some decades of existence, confirms completely this status.
